Boston MedFlight appoints new CEO

Nonprofit critical care medical transport service Boston MedFlight have appointed Maura Hughes as its new CEO.

Maura Hughes has served as interim CEO for the company after Boston MedFlight’s former CEO and medical director Dr Suzanne Wedel passed away in March 2016.

Hughes has over 25 years’ worth of experience in non-profit and healthcare industries.

She joined Boston MedFlight in 1998, having served as chief financial officer since 2002. The board of trustees selected an internal candidate after a nationwide search.
